Nancy Crase
After graduating from the University of Illinois, I co-launched Sports 'n Spokes, an international publication for wheelchair sports and recreation. For the next 15 years, I served as managing editor as well as one of the photographers suppling sport images. In addition to the sports magazine, my photos have appeared in other diverse areas: inflight magazines American Way and US Air, professional publications Team Rehab Report, JOPERD, and Current Health.
After the arrival of my daughter in 1990, I slowed my career, resuming exclusively as a photographer in 2000. Canon equipped, with lens ranging from 15 to 400 mm, I cover sports, portraiture, wildlife/nature and corporate photography, and have been freelancing for the New York Times since 2008.
Phoenix, Arizona, is home with my family. A summer home is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, soon to be Old Orchard Hill Bed and Breakfast at www.OldOrchardHil.com.
